| Charity Description | Our vision is of a society where children are free from sexual abuse and exploitation. Lucy Faithfull Foundation manages the Stop it Now! UK and Ireland campaign and the Confidential, freephone Stop it Now! Helpline (0808 1000 900) which is available for anyone concerned about child sexual abuse. We also run Parents Protect! – a dedicated information website that provides parents, carers and other adults information to help them protect children from abuse and a programme of seminars for parents and carers through schools, children’s centres, faith groups and other community organisations. Stop it Now! UK and Ireland has launched an emergency appeal for funding as work to help parents and carers protect their children from sexual abuse comes under threat. The current economic climate coupled with cuts in government spending are having a huge impact on Stop it Now!. Where abuse has already taken place, we work with all those affected:- adult male/female abusers; young people with harmful sexual behaviour; children with concerning sexual behaviours; victims of abuse and other family members. We also work in families where there has been no abuse, to help them keep themselves and others as safe as possible. |
