| Charity Description | The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace is a registered charity created by the parents of 12 year old Tim Parry and supported by the parents of 3 year old Johnathan Ball. Both Tim and Johnathan were tragically killed as a direct result of the IRA's 1993 bombing of Warrington, as part of its political agenda to force Britain to withdraw from Northern Ireland. The Foundation promotes the understanding, management and non violent resolution of conflict.Through innovative educational programmes we are reaching young people who are on the fringes of society, excluded or at risk of social exclusion and helping them to re-engage in learning and social opportunities. We are tackling grass-roots problems in communities which are suffering from racial tension and violence borne out of inter-community prejudice. Our work has helped over 18,000 young people in the last 6 years alone. |
