Good Shepherd Home is a non-profit and Non-Government Organisation situated at Kenema, Eastern Province, Sierra Leone. Our main work is education. Our work is among the many young people who have been left without families as a result of the war in Sierra Leone; some of these children have seen and done things no child should ever be exposed to. The primary aims of this ministry are to educate and train these children to become secure and self-sufficient members of society and to introduce them to secure and loving family life and to the redeeming love of Jesus Christ.
With an ambitious vision and very limited resources, the organisation started in 2002 with sixty orphans, catering for their education from nursery through to primary education. Secondary school and vocational training have been added since then.
