Formed in September 2009, following the death from cancer, at the age of 25, of a respected Riding Instructor, and much loved friend-Chris Gethin, the Potter Project was his vision, epitomising his life long love of horses, and the affinity he had with the children and young people he taught.
The aim of The Potter Project is to enrich the lives of children, and young people living with cancer, and their families, through leisure activities with horses, and horse-riding. Through charitable donations, and fundraising activities we aim to raise the funds necessary to provide riding holidays* for the children /young people, and their family members
Membership of the Organisation comes from a cross-section of professional and business people, who share Chris’ love of horses, and are driven by the common goal of bringing his vision to life, in helping young cancer sufferers, and their families to experience the joy, relaxation, and fulfilment that being around horses can provide.
*to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the children/young people, the duration of the holiday, and nature of the activities undertaken will be planned on an individual basis.
