 Nottinghamshire Firefighters' Memorial Appeal
The proposed site for this tribute is in the city of Nottingham. The memorial group are raising money to erect a granite memorial on a yorkstone plinth with the names of those who died inscribed on the stone. There are thirty seven names of firefighters, rescue workers, air raid wardens, and other civil defence staff who died between 1939 and 1999.

Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City Fire Authority are giving their full support to the project. Chief Fire Officer Frank Swann, Mairin Casey(H.M. Coroner for Nottinghamshire)and Councillor Jeanie Packer (Lord Mayor of Nottingham 2009- 2010)are also supporting the appeal.
