Nepal Schools Aid
Nepal Schools Aid is a British Charity with a Mission of “Educational support for the children of Nepal”. This is expanded via our additional definition of Quality Education which we have agreed with Nepal’s Ministry of Education and with a focus on developing the Curriculum, Assessment Strategies, Teaching & Learning Styles, Ethics & Values.
We do not give money to schools, only goods, services and skills. We do not support infrastructure or capital projects, only school running costs via educational materials, methods, skills. Our strategy operates at 3 levels with a primary focus on the 7 schools we support and their children, and by widening our reach through liaising with the Ministry of Education to ensure compliance with national standards but also to influence their policy.
Our 3 levels of work are developing schools leadership, providing educational materials such as textbooks and exercise books, and delivering an annual teacher development programme in Kathmandu.
