my event
Next spring (2010) I plan to ride my road bike from the southern most point of Cornwall to the most northerly point of Scotland (The length of Britain). The total journey is 950 miles, averaging 95miles a day, which is around 6-7 hours in the saddle per day!!
Technically I will be riding on my own although my "kind" dad has agreed to be my backup driver and meet me at different towns along the way, being used for emergencies and carrying the majority of my food in order to keep a solid 5,000 kcal diet going throughout. Most minor repairs that occur throughout the day will be fixed by me so basically I will be on my own.
The two charities I wish to raise money for are "Sustrans" and "Trees for Life". The two charities are very close to my heart and although I support a few charities it seemed right to narrow it down to these two for this particular venture. Read more on the great work that these charities do on the links below;
Good luck mate,im sure it'll be no problem for you though
