BBC Children in Need is the BBC's UK charity. Our vision is that every child in the UK has a childhood which is:
Happy and Secure
Allows them the chance to reach their potential
BBC Children in Need awards grants to organisations and projects that are working with children and young people who are disadvantaged through disability; behavioural or psychological disorders; living in poverty or situations of deprivation or suffering through illness, distress, abuse or neglect.
Each year we rely on the tremendous support of the public to organise fundraising events in their school, workplace or in their local communities with friends, family and neighbours. Whilst this brings in a fantastic amount of money each year, we always need more to be able to support so many more valuable projets that we often do not have enough money to fund.
Every penny donated will go towards a project helping disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
