My Charity Page my event
This June the Brazier family are putting aside all their differences in the name of charity. Risking the occasional disagreement, Philip, Ann, Daniel, Cath and Tom are taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge.

For those of you who don’t know what the challenge entails here’s the lowdown:

The Three Peaks walk involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales - these are Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon respectively….and because we’re brave - or stupid - we’re planning to do all 3 within the space of 24 hours.

Piece of cake then……

We are hoping to raise £5000 for the Joe Homan Charity – our support is inspired by Ann and Philip’s first trip to India in 2004.

To find out more visit www.joehoman.org.uk

“The Joe Homan Charity brings hope and opportunity to many families suffering extreme poverty in Tamil Nadu and Khon Kaen, Thailand.

We had the option of visiting the Joe Homan Boys Towns whilst staying at Lakeside in Tamil Nadu. After a week spent in the company of our guide Sackthivel and our driver Andrews, who are both products of JHC and are the best of ambassadors, we were keen to find out more. The ‘town’ we visited was clean and well run and we met a lot of the boys while on their lunch break from school who were evidently happy. They become such an asset to their otherwise very poor families.

We have since sponsored four girls through secondary education and had the pleasure of meeting them - now young ladies – on our second trip to India in 2006. We have become involved supporters of JHC and are very impressed by the work they continue to do, mainly education related. The charity is run by a small but efficient staff both in England and in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. It has given so many of the world’s poorest people a chance to improve their lot”.

Please give generously – if only to make our pain more worthwhile!

Just in case you’re concerned about how we’ll get around it’ll comfort you to know that;

a) Cath will not be map reading
b) Tom will not be driving

Thanks

Philip, Ann, Daniel, Cath and Tom
